Paris is a city which has plenty of opportunities for budget travellers and backpackers, in addition to those people looking for higher end accommodation and stays in the French capital. Having spent a few nights in many of the youth hostels in Paris, here are my favourite youth hostels to stay in Paris.
BVJ Louvre Youth Hostel
This is one of the better placed hostels in the city and is close to Le Louvre, Paris and various other attractions. As part of a national chain this is a trustworthy establishment offering a safe and convenient place to stay.
Woodstock
This is a cosy hostel which has a party atmosphere but top class resources as far as youth hostels go. The breakfast is included in the cost and there is a convenient baggage room where you can leave your belongings in good faith.
Le Village
People staying at this hostel have the choice of either staying in double bedrooms or dormitories. The hostel has a great location in the middle of Montmartre which is one of the most popular areas of the city. One of the best things about staying here is the design of the building itself, which is in keeping with the artistic nature of the area. All rooms have private bathrooms.
Peace and Love
This is a fun and friendly place to stay and is especially appealing to those who like to socialise with fellow travellers as the onsite bar sells drinks for much cheaper than elsewhere in the city centre. There is free wifi access and a comfortable tv area, whilst each of the rooms has a shower and sink. Rooms vary in size from double up to 14 bed dorms.
