The city of Paris is full of history and culture. It is an absolute haven for tourists as there is so much to see and do. Indeed, some of the most famous landmarks in the world are located in Paris. Louvre – This is one of the most famous museums in the world and is hugely popular with tourists, and for good reason. The Mona Lisa painting, which is arguably the best known painting in existence, is held within the Arc de Triomphe – This monument was built at the orders of Napoleon in 1806, who wanted it built in honour of his army. Since it has built this imposing structure has played host to a number of landmark events in history.
